Turning challenges into opportunities and results

The foundation of an auditor’s work is to perform an independent review of your business. The audit can be seen as a quality assurance of financial information, creating security within the company and credibility toward external stakeholders, such as customers, creditors, investors, authorities, and suppliers. The auditor’s job includes reviewing the annual report to verify that the figures are considered reasonable.

What does an auditor do?

Our auditors have in-depth knowledge of various industries and the changes and regulations required to audit our clients’ operations. Together with you, we act as a sounding board throughout the year, and it is important to us that we know your business and your dreams, visions, and goals as an entrepreneur.

Together, we analyze your business, flows, and routines—perhaps you have inventory we should consider, or there is room for dividends, and so on. Simply put, many questions can arise during a fiscal year for an owner or CFO.

When must your company have an audit?

When must your company have an audit?

When your company exceeds two of the following limits for two consecutive years, you need to appoint an auditor.

  • Net sales of at most 3 million SEK
  • Balance sheet total of at most 1.5 million SEK
  • A maximum of 3 full-time employees

However, there are companies that choose to have an auditor for various reasons, even if they do not meet these requirements. An example of such a company could be one that works extensively with the state and municipalities, thereby participating in public procurement where an audit is one of the requirements.

Do you want to opt out of having an auditor?

If a smaller company chooses not to use an auditor, it can be beneficial to have other external help, perhaps in the form of an accounting consultant. It is important to ensure that the person in question is affiliated with one of our professional organizations, such as FAR or SRF. This ensures an external review and the quality of the work performed. Many accounting consultants work independently, which often makes it cost-effective. However, it can be a risk for your business if something were to happen to that person or if they do not have an external party reviewing the work. As a business owner, always perform a reasonableness assessment of your financial report.

We help you with your company’s audit. We assist with quality assurance of the company’s financial reporting, which benefits management, owners, staff, credit institutions, suppliers, and other external stakeholders.
